Then in 1997 while attending The Gentlemen's Expo she met and befriended Brad Armstrong, well regarded porn star and director.

She remained freelance in the early part of her career, working with many of the largest adult film production companies in L.A.
In 2001 she signed an exclusive contract with Wicked Pictures, becoming a Wicked Girl. She was once crowned Miss Nude Texas and was named Sundown Adult Entertainer of the Year.
In 2002, she told Playboy TV she felt pressured to do interracial work because she was worried she would be labelled a racist if she didn't.
Sydnee Steele retired as an actress in the adult film industry in 2004, but her legacy as a masturbatory inspiration for millions continues on today as a safe sex alternative, a testament to her brilliant career.
